An HDU (High Dependency Unit) built by Rotary Club of Dhaka, Rotary Club of Metropolitan Dhaka and Rotary Club of Uttara at a cost of more than USD 250,000 was handed over and inaugurated at Kurmitola General Hospital, Dhaka today 16th September 2021. This large fund is been arranged by the kind donation of the members & friends of these 03 club’s along with the contribution from The Rotary Foundation (TRF). The director of the hospital Brigadier General Jamil Ahmed said, although it is established as an HDU but well equipped like all the facilities of a ICU, patients will get much better treatment & service than that of current ICU of the hospital. Immediate Past District Governor Rotarian Robayet Hossain inaugurated the unit. Honb’le Minister of Commerce & Rtn Tipu Munshi of RC Uttara joined the occasion as the Chief Guest and Rtn Atiqul Islam, Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation & Member of RC Dhaka was the Special Guest. Hon’ble District Governor of Rotary District-3281, Barrister Mutasim Billah Faruqui and DGN TIM Nurul Kabir and other Rotary leaders also spoke in the occasion.
